What does a professional organizer do?
According to our National Association (NAPO), a professional organizer enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and by transferring organizing skills. A professional organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits.

Why should I hire a NAPO organizer over a non NAPO organizer?
NAPO organizers belong to a large network that offers continuing education and a format for helping each other brainstorm problems. NAPO organizers are also required to sign a code of ethics. NAPO members have made a commitment to their profession and to their clients.

How much does it cost to hire a professional organizer?
How much would you lose by not hiring one? We almost always find missing bills, gift cards, deeds, passports and will set up systems to help save you money. Professional Organizers usually cost more than a cleaning person but less than a divorce lawyer. Time Space Organization (TSO) offers packages and the hourly cost is based upon how many hours you purchase.

Do I have to be there when the organizer is working?
Yes, because TSO is training you as well as helping you organize, your presence is important. To maximize your return on your investment, we recommend making yourself 100% available.

How long will the organization take?
How long depends on the size of the area, the contents, the speed of decision making, and how much you can do on your own between sessions. Typically, TSO works with you for three to four hours and then leaves you with home work. If you are able to maintain what we have done and complete the homework, jobs can be done in a timelier manner. Paper organization tends to take longer.

Will I be able to maintain the organization?
As we are organizing, TSO is training you how to maintain the area. After the project, TSO will occasionally check in with you to find out if you need additional support. If you are ADHD or your situation is more complex, a maintenance package is also available.
