I love our family Christmas traditions. Every year we gather at one sibling’s home. Everyone tries very hard to get there at some point in time. Some may have to come before Christmas and leave on that day, while others may arrive late on Christmas day and stay a while. Some are only able to come for one day. Whoever has the host home that year puts out flamingos. At some point in the gathering time we will play Trivial Pursuit. Certain foods made by family members are expected- Lindal’s sausage gravy and biscuits, Tod’s cheese ball and his potato dish, Darin’s party mix, Jamie’s spinach dip, oyster stew, my cookies and fudge are all mandatory. We do Christmas stockings- might not be on Christmas morning but will be when everyone has arrived. I look forward to this time of year all year long. I love my family and their crazy traditions.
